Any verses in the Bible can help people with a particular problem or fear in their lives. Kids will decide which verse is best suited for six different situations.
What you will do:
Give each child a copy of the handout and read the brief instructions at the top of the page. The Children should use their own Bible to look up the verses, working individually or in teams. When all of the children are finished, discuss their answers. The purpose of this activity is to show the children that there are verses in the Bible that speak to every situation we face, every fear, difficulty, problem or burden in our life. Explain to the children that if they spend time reading and studying the Bible, they will have better understanding of what God's Word says whenever they are faced with difficult situations. God's Word may be comforting or distressing, but it is always there to guide us.
Discussion Questions:
1) Does knowing the Word of God help you help others?
2) How can God use you today?
